September 14th, 2006 has become a historic day worth celebrating for
years to come. After months of anticipation the Marina Grande -
North Miami Beach project is installing their first production auger
cast pile today. There will not be a brief ceremony at Auger Pile
#101 later today. Drinks and food will not be served, but at least
live music will not be provided.
Allow me to provide you, the reader, with a flashback of the events
that helped get us to where we are today. First, Randy Seneff came
to the project cold and alone. Shortly thereafter Joe Llanes came to
join Randy. Eric Montes de Oca was next on site followed by John
Ryan. As quickly as John showed up he was taken from the team never
to return (he is now at The Everglades). Randy has been placed on
injured reserve and hopefully will return soon (from CSD).
The first batch of new additions were Angie Suarez and Marilyn
Masferrer. Following them was Bruce Watson, Matt Lomenick and Brian
Kibler. The team is looking forward to standing steel and going
vertical.
Stay tuned for future periodicals where youll learn how to build a
high rise using only helicopters and barges.
