As the new year begins Gryphon is continuing to work on the Soil Improvement Phase for the Capital at Brickell. Gryphon has just completed the installation of the 30" Auger Cast Piles for the first phase which includes the podium and South Tower foundation; the North Tower will be part of phase II. The 18" rig has just arrived on site to begin drilling the 18" piles surrounding the tower mat, this work should go through the month of February.

The Gryphon team is closely working with the Owner to help expedite the permitting process for the dewatering and disposal well installation in preparation for the foundation mat. The team is looking to begin excavation for the South Tower mat by March. With the conclusion of the excavation the team will begin forming and installing rebar for the mat, which is expected to pour sometime in July 08.

Gryphon is currently planning and strategizing the South Tower mat pour. The mats current design consist of approximately 1660 tons of steel and over 7500 cubic yards of concrete, and will require 6-8 concrete placing boom pumps.

We are pushing to obtain ALL the necessary permits so we could continue with work production. The Foundation permit and disposal well permit is scheduled to be submitted by the Owner during the second week of January and without any setbacks the approved permits should be in place by March.
